It was a tight squeeze getting into Lincoln from Firth today. The car is bulging and ready for a tomorrow morning departure to Chicago. Today we root on dad as he has knee surgery.

I thought it might be a fun project to snap a photo and post a blurb each day for a year as way to keep in touch with family and friends who are far away. And as a way to stop and smell the roses as they say. Even though in Chicago,for much of the year,the roses are covered in ice and snow and are often peed on by dogs.
