A Fork in the Road

We visited the old neighborhood last night for some good hearty theater. Eric doesn't miss it in the least, but I always feel a pang of love and nostalgia (is it too early for that?) when we are in the 49th ward. It has so very much character. Edgebrook is lovely in all its own ways but I sometimes miss having something surprising around most corners.

This morning I opened the back door to let Max out and there sat Miss White-tail looking back at me. I got the feeling she had been napping there. (Thankfully I shut the door again before Max caught wind. Wouldn't have been pretty.)
