I thought it might be a fun project to snap a photo and post a blurb each day for a year as way to keep in touch with family and friends who are far away. And as a way to stop and smell the roses as they say. Even though in Chicago,for much of the year,the roses are covered in ice and snow and are often peed on by dogs.

I have time on my side being 2 hours behind you guys! I read it when I get home at 10pm your time, by which time Jessie has almost always posted. I won't count it as cheating, just luck ( =
