I came to load my camera onto the Mac this evening and found a bunch of photos I'd forgotten I'd taken this weekend, including this one of my sister with her sparkler. My camera has kind of awesome night vision.

I thought it might be a fun project to snap a photo and post a blurb each day for a year as way to keep in touch with family and friends who are far away. And as a way to stop and smell the roses as they say. Even though in Chicago,for much of the year,the roses are covered in ice and snow and are often peed on by dogs.
