I now have a corner of the basement all organized for having insane fun.

I thought it might be a fun project to snap a photo and post a blurb each day for a year as way to keep in touch with family and friends who are far away. And as a way to stop and smell the roses as they say. Even though in Chicago,for much of the year,the roses are covered in ice and snow and are often peed on by dogs.

Mara, my crafty nook is your crafty nook! I am just myself learning to sew but I have an awesome how-to book from my friend who is wicked good at sewing. Andrea, I can read to you the threading instructions from my sewing machine manual! :) They are perfectly written.
