Gifts that show up on the front porch from Allstate. Spouses aren't invited to the holiday party this year. Chocolate is way better than corporate chit-chat. At least they know that.

Are you serious? Is that how the economy is effecting them? Ha, score for not having to go to holiday partys but still getting goodies!

Are you serious? No spouses? I know that no one likes to go to the party anyways, but that's down right lame...don't they know that the "work-world" spouse wouldn't be able to do the great job they are doing without us? I'm not sure that Chocolate quite covers it...unless it is really good. expensive chocolate...and then I would still have to think about it...lame. Where is our "Christmas Party"? :)

We don't even get a Christmas party for the employees themselves! They did away with it two years ago when the economny started tanking. And to think they used to go on those Odyssey cruises off Navy Pier at Christmas. Boo. But I agree, chocolate is WAY better than having to be at a party full of people you don't know. :)

Although Allstate is actually in the black this year, I think my boss's boss paid for these out of pocket.

Yeah, it stinks that they have to cut back. At least Eric gets a party at all. (I think it's just a lunch or something anyway). I'll be enjoying my chocolate and even more so knowing that Eric's boss felt guilty enough to send me sweets. :) (But Jillian, we'll have a Christmas party when I come to Lincoln next month, kay?) :)

We don't get a christmas party at all either. Fine with me as I work with a bunch of older guys that still like to get drunk and talk about it for a week ha.
