A big high five to Chris, Stacy, Tom and Eric. The Shuffle was cold, crowded and injury ridden. But beer was had at ten in the morning. And this, my pals, makes everybody a winner.

I thought it might be a fun project to snap a photo and post a blurb each day for a year as way to keep in touch with family and friends who are far away. And as a way to stop and smell the roses as they say. Even though in Chicago, for much of the year, the roses are covered in ice and snow and are often peed on by dogs.

Why didn't you do it Jessie!? Too smart?
:) Yes, too smart and not deranged enough.
(I'm really out of running shape. I think I'm going to try to do a couple 5ks this spring and summer. That's about where it starts and stops being fun for me.)
Were the pink gloves a good luck charm?
:) Just all we could find as we were scrambling out the door. But they were probably good luck too. He beat his old time and didn't break anything.
Hey! I think those pink gloves used to be mine! They must have been found at home and made the trip to Chicago at some point haha
