That the good to bad movie ratio is higher in the fall and winter than in the summer (after all the dumb blockbusters are out of the way). "Fantastic Mr. Fox" made me happy on so many levels. Wes Anderson, INCREDIBLE stop-action, good writing, great characters, awesome music. I was mesmerized.

Hot Cocoa. Truck loads of it. For an alternative to Swiss Miss try half 2% milk, half rice milk, unsweetened cocoa, and agave nectar.

Advent calendars. I haven't had one of these since I was a kid but I found this one at Cristkindlemarket and had to get it. Opening all those little window shutters and packages to see what's inside...it's just as fun as I remember.
